Ben's First Day of Preschool

A spot opened up at a really great home preschool in the area, and after visiting I knew it would be a great opportunity for Ben. He really enjoyed his first day and is very proud that he has a class of his own now just like his big brother. It looks by the pictures; however, that the one MOST excited is actually Sam!

First Day of Kindergarten

Luke started Kindergarten this fall! I can't believe I already have one in school. We are very thankful for his teacher, and he seems to really enjoy it... just as we expected he would!

A Love of Baseball

Sam has discovered a new love. He has had an affinity for baseball from a young age, but when he saw this toy it was a done deal!

Camping Trip!

The boys went on their first camping trip with daddy this summer. I don't think I have ever seen them so dirty! (And that is saying a lot with a boy like Ben!!) They had a fantastic time with cousins and friends, but were ready to come back to the comfort of home after their night away in a tent.

Our boys...getting so big

It is fun to see the relationships the boys have formed with each other. Ben and Luke are such great friends, and they really love their little brother Sammy.

Treasure Hunt

Mark and Rob got together and planned an elaborate treasure hunt for the kids. It was such a fun day, complete with finding clues, following maps, and digging up real buried pirate treasure. The kids had a great time.

Mema Holding down the Fort

Mema stayed behind and kept watch over the boys. They always have a great time with her!

The Mexico Clan

We stayed in a beautiful place and enjoyed pure relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of daily life at home. It was a great time with great friends.

Mexico Zip Line

We had the opportunity to go to Mexico for a week (thank you, mom!) with a group of good friends. One day we went on a canopy zip line tour. Our guides were hilarious and it was a great time!

Visit from Great Gran and Grandpa

We enjoyed a visit from Great Gran and Grandpa in May. It was so nice of them to go out of their way to come and stay with us for a few days. We enjoyed the duck pond and introducing them to Rubio's fish tacos. Thanks for a fun visit!

The Cousins

We had lots of fun spending time with our cousins over the summer at Uncle Dann and Aunt Suzanne's house. I liked this shot on the swing. It is missing the oldest two, Paige and Jackson, and the youngest two Sam and Kate. They all look the same age!

Easter Fun

We had a fun Easter celebration at Nana and Papa's house with the annual egg hunt with the cousins. Sammy got in on the action this year and seemed content with the discovery of of his first egg, but with our competitive edge we encouraged him to go for more! It was fun getting to the point with the older boys where they understand more clearly the importance of this holiday.

Five Again!

We celebrated yet again with our cousins! What a fun day. We share lots of birthdays in the month of March, so we usually do a big celebration with everyone. Our cousins Paige and Ella also had birthday tables with special cakes. Thanks, Nana, for giving up your house for a fun day!

Five!

In March, Luke turned 5. We had a good time at the park with a bounce house. It is fun to see how he has changed over this past year. He loves his friend Kaylee (whom he has grown up with), and I am so thankful for the great friendship he shares with Ben.

I am 1!

Sam turned one this month, and he enjoyed getting to discover cake for the first time. We were glad Mema and Papa from Texas got to join us for the celebration.
